Really looking forward to this. Will HAVE to go to the opening night of King Lear and last night of Romeo and Juliet.

Other news (which I couldn't see in the links above) - new ensemble launches in April 2011. Details in November.
Think I'm going to be spending a bit of dosh on the 17th September!

I dunno but that's when the "formal" reopening will be too. Assume that'll be for people "in the biz" only.

^^^ Oh yes, I have already planned to go to that performance. I've received my newsletter now from the RSC detailing all the events planned. So much to choose from, so many tickets to buy and so little money!!!!!! Oh well beans on toast it is then day after day!!!!!!!!!!

If all goes to plan I'll be going to the final Romeo and Juliet as well as seeing The Comedy of Errors and King Lear on the same day. So I might be a little zonked, but I'll see you there!

Final R&J meaning.. 2nd April?
I'm also planning on getting along to the first Lear - one of those things you can say in future, was at the first full Shakespeare performance at the new RST etc (plus I rather enjoyed the production!). Anyone else thinking of going that day?

AUGH! 2nd April? I didn't realise that, I probably can't go that night. Bah. Shall just have to content myself with a mid-run trip instead. Maybe for my birthday...

I shall likely be at both first Lear and final R&J. I'm not a huge fan of Lear as a play (though I do like Charlie's Edgar) but as you said, going for the event more than anything.
