Firstly I wanted to make clear that we are not affiliated in any way with the RSC and none of the admins or moderators on the board work for the RSC (even if we sometimes wish we did). We're just enthusiastic fans of the Company.
We want to make this board as open and friendly as possible so feel free to join up and dive straight in but as always there are a few guidelines we'd ask you to follow for everyone's benefit.
1. Discussion is welcome here, debate and speculation are welcome here, silliness is welcome here, joyful squeeing is welcome here and criticism is welcome here. We don't expect anyone to love everything the RSC does but do remember that we are all here because we love the company, so if you have nothing but criticism to offer, you'll probably not win any friends and the moderators may choose to step in.
2. Abusive behaviour, however, is not permitted - either to our members or anyone who works for the RSC in whatever capacity. If we feel anyone oversteps this line, a warning will be given. If the behaviour continues we will consider banning the relevant member/ip address. If you feel someone is behaving inappropriately please do get in touch with a mod about it.
3. Please do try to post things on the right board, though we understand sometimes it may be confusing - so don't be upset if we choose to move a discussion.
4. Certain boards have posting guidelines at the top - it'd be great if you follow them and, again, don't be upset if we change things.
5. If you're looking for a good place to start out on the board, head over to The Dirty Duck, at the top you'll find pinned an introduction post - where you can post about yourself and say hello.
6. Although this board is specifically about the RSC, we know that are a lot of people (me included) are interested in other theatre - you're more than welcome to post about any theatre or show you like in The Dirty Duck. In fact any off-topic posts can go here too.
7. These guidelines will most likely change and evolve as time goes by. With any major changes I'll also put a separate post on this board to inform everyone. If there's anything that you think needs to change or that we've forgotten please put it either in a private message or a comment here and we'll consider it. If you want any clarification on the rules, this is also the place to post them.
8. Currently there are no plans to organise official board meet ups, however you are welcome to organise your own through the board. All we ask is that you ensure you are sensible and do not meet up with people you don't know alone. Anyone under 18 must consult their parent or guardian before deciding to meet anyone, and they must be aware of your whereabouts.
9. Avatars must be 100 x 100 pixels. This is to prevent stretching the board tables and frames. We don't want us to look all misshapen, now do we?
Thanks
Lorannah
