My favourite director doing The Merchant of Venice, opening one day before my birthday. THERE IS A GOD AND HIS NAME IS RUPERT.
Absolutely definitely seeing all the main house shows and The Homecoming... and probably the others too. Will try and be sensible with booking and finances, though. Or not.

Put me down for a Merchant, Macbeth and possibly MND plskthx. Maybe a Shrew, since it'll be cheap. Thank god I can borrow Dad's company car (no petrol costs!) and stay with friends, or I'd never afford it all!

I can get a return train ticket for about £10, so as long as the play finishes by 11pm (i.e. unless it's a Trevor Nunn production) I don't need to stay overnight. Does rather rule out Saturday evenings, though.
I hate The Taming of the Shrew (not because it's sexist or anything, just because it's boring) so I think I'll give that one a miss.
Patrick Stewart has said that he wants to play Shylock again, and given his history with Rupert Goold it could happen. I haven't heard any rumours regarding this production, though, so don't take that as anything other than a wild guess at the moment.

Patrick is currently finishing up A Life In The Theatre... he could be free for a Stratford return...

This will be a YPS though, so could than change your mind? Possibly. I might go if I can combine it with something else, but I don't think I'll make a trip out to Stratford specifically for that. There's no performance schedule anywhere yet, right?

My thoughts on getting the schedule - phew, just in time to book time off work.
Have had to accept that I have no ability to prioritise - as I want to see EVERYTHING.
And I am sort of fascinated by the YPS Hamlet, because it is a horribly sexist play (it makes me want to cry that it's the only Richard Burton Shakespeare you can get on DVD right now) - so they're going to have to make changes. Then again, I was a bit sceptical of YPS Hamlet (despite the Lion King connections) and I think that one's awesome.
Between this and the Globe and the Young Vic's Hamlet, I am going to be totally spoiled for Shakespeare next year. ;D

Think I'm going to limit it to just Macbeth and Merchant for now; can't miss Slinger, and Merchant is the most major work I've never seen. Will see how casting pans out for the others...

I've just booked for Macbeth and the unwrapped that goes with it. I will be booking for Merchant and Dream as well. Thank goodness I had theatre vouchers for Christmas.

Booking already? Are you a super-ultra-top friend of the RSC then? :-)

Yes and one of the perks, pity about the lack of money! Seeing Merchant the day after my birthday.

Looks like it's been an absolute nightmare for people getting tickets this morning. After two hours or so I managed to get the ones I wanted for The Merchant of Venice, though I know some others haven't been so lucky.
I do <3 the RSC, I really do, but they need to get their computer system sorted out.

Finally got all mine booked. Had to wait for phone lines to open as I had some queries.
4 x Stalls H for Merchant in July (persuaded family to come for a day out) 1 x Stalls H for Macbeth in September (£26 ticket... bargain... why did I never use my £10-off member tickets last year???).
Passed on the Dream in the end.
